In her private practice Dr Hirshfeld specializes in assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, play therapy, psychoanalysis & consultation for infants, children, adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, families; Clinicians.

Dr Hirshfeld is an expert in trauma, secondary stress, burnout @ the workplace, Executive & Tech Consulting & compassion fatigue assessment & treatment. Dr Hirshfeld has authored manuscripts in the areas of child psychoanalysis, psychosomatic conditions, trauma & secondary stress & co-authored & implemented a Brief Lacanian Treatment Model & a "Lacanian Approach" model to the organization and its individuals. Dr. Hirshfeld completed a postdoc fellowship @ Stanford Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS); conducted extensive research @ PTSD Research Program, SFVA/UCSF; was a consultant to the Brief Lacanian Analysis Project @ MMH; served as Adjunct Clinical Faculty @ CIIS & as Faculty & VP @ Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis (LSP), & was a founder/CEO in Tech; & co-founder at "O" Data.

Michaela Zavala, MSW is an Associate Clinical Social Worker ASW106318 in private practice supervised by Dr. Ayelet Hirshfeld Ph.D. PSY 22767. She obtained her masters degree in social work from the University of Southern California in 2021. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminology/Criminal Justice in 2015.

Michaela has worked with people who have experienced trauma for years. Michaela currently works at Stanford Hospital with inpatient and outpatient cancer patients and their families. She also carries a small private practice at Dr Hirshfeld's Clinic, there she sees adult individuals, older teens and couples both virtually and in person.
Michaela's previous experience includes working with victims of human trafficking, military veterans, unhoused individuals and couples. While Michaela's expertise is Health Psychology, her experience is broad in range, scope and population. She has worked with those that are currently unhoused to those who are running top tech companies, and many people in between.
Michaela uses a singular psychoanalytical approach tailored for you as a client, human and individual. She believes that no one person is exactly alike, so neither should your treatment. Michaela's belief is that health care is not only physical, but also includes mental wellness; which is essential to finding balance, happiness and inner peace.

Dr. Ramirez is a clinical psychology postdoctoral fellow Psy.D. PSB 94023844, in private practice supervised by Dr. Ayelet Hirshfeld Ph.D. PSY 22767. She obtained her doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She also holds a masters degree in forensic psychology.
Dr. Ramirez has worked in a variety of settings all which have focused on trauma, including community mental health centers, school settings (preschool, and elementary), inpatient hospital, outpatient clinics, forensic setting, and Veterans Affairs.
